Social Audit Alignment Workshop Take Place after Independent Audit Parties Involved

FCF social responsibility project team and the independent social audit firms are discussing the social requirements.

Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. (August 3, 2021)– Despite the challenges of COVID-19 in Taiwan, FCF’s Social Responsibility program has advanced on, switching from traditional in-person audits to remote audits towards various fishing companies in the FCF supply chain in order to continuously monitor under restrictions. Remote audits have enabled FCF to progress social responsibility goals and maintain the safety of both FCF’s suppliers and the independent social audit firms involved.

The FCF social responsibility program is built on the premise of continuous improvement; not just limited to the FCF supply chain but also the program itself. A social audit alignment workshop was held with the FCF social responsibility project team and the independent social audit firms to calibrate the related social requirements and review feedback to improve audit efficiency and quality.

Aside from quality control, discussions also took place regarding scope, specifically to increase coverage of supply chains outside of Taiwan in the face of COVID-19 challenges.
