Kaohsiung city, Taiwan (December 29, 2021)- On December 17th, FCF co., Ltd. (FCF) attended the charity dinner and fundraising event hosted by “Taiwan, His Hands Christian Home” to support child caring. “Taiwan, His Hands Christian Home” is a nonprofit organization that contributes to providing a caring and secure environment for orphaned infants under 2 years old since 2007. For the past 14 years, The Christian Home has improved the lives of 122 children though the provision of a healthy and safe environment.

This year, ” Taiwan, His Hands Christian Home” hosted a charity dinner at InterContinental Kaohsiung, inviting attendees from various parties, which includes: the presidents of CHIUAN CHENG CONSTRUCTION CO., LTD., TAIWAN FU HSING INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD., KWANG YANG MOTOR CO., LTD, the vice directors of E-DA General Hospital and Social Affairs Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government.

According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Taiwan, there are about 80,000 cases of child abuse reported in Taiwan, an average of more than 200 cases per day in 2020. Furthermore, of the children who are abused and injured and sent to the hospital, 60% have brain injuries and more than 20% have severe disabilities. However, due to a lack of resources, these young children are now mostly placed in senior care centers. Therefore, all the funds raised from this event will be donated towards the construction of a new Christian home to increase the number of children in their care to 40 each year, and provide more services such as sensory integration training and parental education which brings a wider positive impact at a community level.

During the event, the President of “Taiwan, His Hands Christian Home”, Annie Chou Lin, expressed her gratitude for the donation from all parties, saying: “What we want to do is to try our best to assist these abandoned or abused children. Through the joint efforts of everyone, more children now have the opportunity to grow up in a healthy environment.”

FCF has been committed to social responsibility for a long time, while not only for sustainable fisheries but also social welfare. This is the third time for FCF to participate in the charity event held by Taiwan, His Hands Christian Home and the President of FCF, Max Chou, especially assisted the organization to prepare gifts for the guests of the event, to encourage people to care about the disadvantaged in our society and the care of orphaned infants.
