ANOVA Fulfills Corporate Social Responsibility by Collaborating with Government andNon-governmental Organizations to Promote the Mangrove Forest Restoration Project in Bali

(Kaohsiung, Taiwan) April 1, 2024 – FCF Co., Ltd.’s subsidiary, ANOVA, has recently partnered with the Bali Provincial Forestry & Environment Service and the local non-governmental organization, Mangrove Ranger, to initiate the Mangrove Forest Restoration Project. This project commenced at the Ngurah Rai National Forest Park in Bali, with a total of 1,050 mangrove seeds planted. This initiative not only demonstrates the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability but also actively supports local government on sustainable development.

Global climate change is an urgent issue, with the international consensus aiming for carbon neutrality by 2050. Various industries have embarked on actions to address this challenge, with mangrove restoration recognized as a crucial strategy for developing “blue carbon” ecosystems. “Blue carbon” refers to carbon stored in marine ecosystems, with mangroves playing a significant role in mitigating atmospheric CO2 levels and global warming. Mangroves offer diverse ecosystem services, including shoreline stabilization, erosion prevention, water purification, wind protection, and reducing the impact of storm surges, serving as natural barriers to coastal protection and holding substantial economic value.

The event saw the participation of 25 ANOVA Bali team members, who, under the guidance of Mangrove Ranger, a non-governmental organization dedicated to environmental conservation, learned about mangrove conservation and restoration techniques before planting approximately 1,050 mangrove seeds. This effort showcases a firm commitment to promoting the health of the local forest ecosystem.

Arthur Yeh, Executive Vice President of FCF, expressed, “As a responsible corporate entity, we understand the importance of active participation in environmental conservation within different communities. This collaboration with local government and environmental organizations aligns with our core values, emphasizing joint efforts and utilizing various resources and expertise to promote environmental sustainability and corporate citizenship.”
